Both Michael Raynes and Junior Brown are expected to sign for Mansfield Town today.
When we play the Stags next month they could have the following ex-U's in their number:
Simon Heslop, Adam Murray (player-manager), Alex Fisher, John Dempster,
Raynes and Brown plus ex-trialist Ryan Tafazolli.

Re: January Transfers...
Despite the fact it wasn't a surprise, and irrelevant of whether it's a good decision or not I feel it's a very sad day to see Potter go. Obviously one moment stands out, but there were many, many more.OUFC4eva wrote:Winger Alfie Potter has today officially left United and signed a deal with AFC Wimbledon.
I wish you all the best Alfie.
Re: January Transfers...
A real servant for the club, and a great utility player who could fill a number of positions, but was hardly ever used in his best spot on the right wing.
When we play AFCW, I'm putting a fiver on him getting a hat trick

Re: January Transfers...
Former Huddersfield Town and Bury left back Joe Skarz,26 joins Oxford
United from Rotherham United.
Re: January Transfers...
Cannot work out what the signing of Skarz means. Has he been brought in as a flexible utility defender? Is there something about THD we do not know about? Is Meades on his way out (I thought he was better against Exeter when played in his 'proper' position)? Or have we bought someone because he was available?
Re: January Transfers...
I am not sure about the length of Skarz' contract but
the board appear to be bringing in players not only for
now but for next season and beyond.
We won't be able to keep THD beyond this
season surely and I don't believe that Meades is
good enough to be our established first choice left back.
Maybe United think that THD is better further forward?

Re: January Transfers...
Left back Tom Newey leaves United today by mutual consent.
Re: January Transfers...
United Chief Executive Mark Ashton has today claimed that Oxford
have agreed a transfer fee with Peterborough United for Tyrone Barnett.
Ashton said it is up to the player and his agent but that other clubs are speaking to
the big striker who is contracted to the Posh until June 2016.

STOP PRESS! Oxford sign player in position where they need a player: http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/11758 ... _Brindley/
We are quickly becoming the Rotherham equivalent of Eastleigh, Mullins, Skarz, Hylton, and Brindley are all ex-Millers. If we get back to back promotions I won't complain!
