Ambiguity on the OWS

Post by admin »

Am I alone in having a problem with some of the wordage on this report from the OUFC official website?

Specifically:
There are now less than 100 terrace tickets available
should surely read &quotfewer than 100 terrace tickets...&quot

and
Burton have made a limited number of additional seat tickets available
This is very vague, as it's quite obvious that the number of tickets available is limited, unless Burton's terrace either stretches out into infinity or else curls back in on itself via some sort of continuous loop, also invoking infinity. They need to be more specific. Maybe they mean &quota small number of tickets&quot, but even that is relative and doesn't really help the reader.

Assume that the terrace is a Calabi-Yau manifold with wrapped higher dimensions ...

Or I suppose it could be one point of a Mandelbrot Set. That might work.

Or there might not be any seats relating to the additional tickets sold.
