You can tell which threads have had new content since you last logged in because the folder icon on the opening page will be brownish/orangey rather than white, or whatever.

And welcome Simon, and everyone else who's just joined.

Would be great to make this board our new home, but some may be put off by it's reputation for being a bit more sophisticated than the old venue. Was that comma in the right place?

Plenty of reasons to close down TIU IMO. It was a bit of a mess, but unique.

I look forward to new users getting a 'Tsk!' if any dare start a new thread for which a perfectly valid one exists, even when it does date back 4 years.

I think its a disgrace that TiU has now been shut down. According to someone its because other forums were being discussed!

What a joke!

I just love the message that has appeared....

&quotOxfordshire is closed&quot

All kinds of pictures are flashing through my mind of farmers with pitchforks, redundant Rover workers and students up for a bit of a larf all stood in a line blocking the M40 at Stokenchurch and Banbury....

...not forgetting the regular border patrols on the A420

I just had the image of a really old Playstation game where you go to the edge and it is just like an invisible wall.

&quotOxfordshire is currently closed.

The Administrator has chosen to close this forum with the following reason:

This board will resume tomorrow
&quot

And &quotthe following reason&quot is maybe something to do with the feedback from people who have signed up, which goes as follows.

Do you like the new forum?

Yes 3% [ 1 ] (and their admin person has confessed to being the one person who voted for it.)

No 75% [ 22 ]

Not decided 20% [ 6 ]
