Squad Size questions

Post by Swissbloke »

What were our squad sizes last time we were in the league?

Have League 2 sides moved on since we were last involved in terms of numbers of players?

I was reading this great blog and I was wondering how many players CW will hope to have on the books come August.

I've heard the number of subs is 7 for next season ? So perhaps squad size will need to take this into account.

It was something of a moving target I think. We had so many managerial changes that the squad was always littered with the previous managers signings that the new man didn't belive in and the new man's new signings that hadn't worked out. I would guess that 24 would be the target. Also I don't think there's that much difference in quality between the full time Conference clubs and the bulk of League 2 which is why a promoted side doesn't need to make wholesale changes to get back to back promotion. It's not like Championship to Premier League where you need a massive clearout to stand any chance of just surviving.
