Unlucky Guy

Post by YF Dan »

I had a horrible thought before the Pompey match that Guy would pick up an injury...

Oh well, by the sounds of it we coped ok, and nice to see a goal created and scored by youth team players against a team from the big show.

Husbands and Reid III are getting good reviews on the dark side too, any thoughts here? I'm loving the fact that out team is full of fast players.

Bring on Barrow and here's hoping Guy makes a quick recovery.

Does anyone know the extent of Guy's injury yet?

I guess, in true footballing ways, Patto will play it up to keep Barrow's mgt team guessing about who will be in the starting XI on Friday.

It was definitely a hamstring because that's what he said when he came off and he did pull up quickly, it's just how bad a hamstring is it? did it go completely or did he just feel a twinge and came off as a precaution?

If there is no news soon then I think we can assume that he is OK on the basis that no news is good news and why would you want to keep the opposition guessing when there is no chance of him playing?

If a twinge or a pull: he won't make Barrow or Weymouth.

Hamstrings are a bugger and players can be out for six weeks with them
i.e McAllister.

Just our luck!

I hope it's not a McAllister :-(

Are we going to sign the trialists?

I seem to recall that Craig McAllister had a two centimetre &quottear&quot in his hamstring which kept him out for a long time.

Let's pray that JG just had a little &quottightening&quot of the hamstring.

It didn't look as if he felt it go as much as Macca did last season. Hopefully it was just a twinge. If he had done it badly he would have known straight away. Patto seems to think that there is an outside chance of him making the Barrow game so that would suggest that Guy didn't feel anything too bad. We shall see...

This might have the advantage of helping Constable psychologically to come out of Guy's Shadow. If he could get a goal against Barrow it could set him on a decent goalscoring run as he has done before at this level.
