Boot Table 2016/17

Post by Hog » Tue Sep 27, 2016 9:01 pm

Oops! Forgot to do a table for August so here it is (from 7 games played):

=1. 2 Geoff (from 7 entries), Hoglette (7)
=3. 1 Mooro (1), Ancient Colin (5), Boogie (6)
=6. 0 The Rest (Mr T, JFP, Radley Rambler, Joepoolman, Hog, Godalming Yellow, Old Abingdonian

Incidentally, if two or more are level at the end of the season then I suggest the one with the lower number of attempts would win - am I right?

Updated table to the end of November 2016 (23 games played).

=1st with 3pts: Ancient Colin (from 18 entries), Old Abingdonian (18), Boogie (21), Mr T (23), Hoglette (23)
=5th with 2pts: Mooro (only 4 entries!), Geoff (23), Hog (23), Radley Rambler (23)
=10th with 0pts: JFP (1), JoePoolMan (1), Raul (1), Godalming Yellow (5)

Planning ahead ... if players finish level on points at the end of the season then the winner will be decided on who made the lower number of entries. If this does not seperate them then the person who reached their total first will win.

I wondered who would spot it first! Well done Old Abbo and as a reward I will reinstate the missing point immediately!

Actually I don't know how that happened as all three of your points show quite clearly on my spreadsheet and I'm sure it would have re-appeared in my calculations next month ... but I bet everyone checks their scores from now on! Apologies.

The table now includes an adjustment for the half point penalty incurred by any winner who subsequently fails to set their new Boot by the deadline (which is 36 hours before kick off). Sadly Geoff has fallen foul of this twice now (Middlesbrough in the cup, Northampton away) so loses a point.

Table to the end of March 2017 (48 games)

1. Hoglette 9 (from 48 predictions)
2. Ancient Colin 7 (from 40)
3. MrT 6 (44)
4. Geoff 6 - (2 x 0.5) = 5 (47)
5. Boogie 5 (42)
6. Hog 5 (48)
7. Old Abingdonian 4 (36)
8. Radley Rambler 4 (48)
9. Mooro 2 (4)
10= Raul 0 (1), JFP 0 (1), JoePoolman 0 (1)
13. Godalming Yellow 0 (5)

So anyone down to 8th place can still take the Bootmeister title!

Re: Boot Table 2016/17 ***FINAL TABLE***

Post by Hog » Sun Apr 30, 2017 10:28 pm

Well, despite not having picked up a point in the last 12 games Hoglette has held on to take the title of BootmeisterHerin! (is that a respectable title for a young lady?)

1. Hoglette 9 (from 54 predictions)
2. Geoff 8-(2 x 0.5)= 7 (from 52)
3. Ancient Colin 7 (45)
4. Mr T 7 (50)
5. Hog 7 (54)
6. Boogie 5 (48)
7. Radley Rambler 5 (54)
8. Old Abingdonian 4 (40)
9. Mooro 2 (4)
10= Raul 0 (1), JFP 0 (1), JoePoolman 0 (1)
13. Godalming Yellow 0 (5)

Well done Hoglette, I'm proud of you!

Thanks to everyone who took part and have a great summer.

And my last duty as Bootmeister is to remind Radley to set the first Boot of the new season
