Rovers Reeboks

Post by Radley Rambler »

Let's go with a cascade this time as that's easier to adjudicate at the end!

1) Will only Oxford, only Bristol or both teams score (own goals count as a goal for the opposition)?
2) Will Oxford win, lose or draw?
3) Will Beano or Connolly score?
4) Will Oxford or Bristol have more corners or the same amount?
5) Will either team be awarded a penalty?

TB (I'd be amazed if we need it!) - total number of subs used in the match, earliest posting wins in the event of a tie

3) Will Beano or Connolly score? No.
4) Will Oxford or Bristol have more corners or the same amount? Bristol to have more.
5) Will either team be awarded a penalty? No

Results as follows:

- Hoglette and Old Abingdonian fell at the first hurdle
- Mooro and Ancient Colin fell at the second question
- Hog & I got the first two right but then got the third one wrong.

I'm not quite sure in a cascade whether the rules stipulate we go to the next main question or straight to the tiebreak - does anyone know?

However, no matter because I was lucky enough to get the fourth question right whereas Hog was too optomistic in Oxford's favour and I was also closer on the TB so either way, it's up to me again to set the next boot.

Time for an updated Boot league table methinks 8)

So this year's innovation is a special rule that if you win three in a row, you lose all your points ...

On Cascades, I've always run with a rule that if all survivors fail on a level, then they move to the next level, but I know others have jumped to the tiebreak. It's really for the setter to specify.

It'll be a shame if he undoes his good work and loses points for not setting the next one in time ...
