Road to Wembley Boot

Predictions as they were meant to be. Or not. Whatever.

By the time you'd posted Baboo one had already drawn :-)

The boot is still open for late-comers but no prediction for Horsham allowed.

Close for tomorrow I reckon.

Boris and Baboo currently on 6.

Boogie, Kernow, Matt, GY, Mally, and Oxford James all on 5.

And of the contenders, all have two losses tomorrow apart from Matt whohas a draw for Harrogate.

No one got the only winner so far.

And for those in contention the tie break fall somewhere between KY and Matt.

Yes it is a cracking boot.

On reflection, it comes down to the Railway men of the North. If they get a draw then it is Matt's boot. Otherwise the result that Mally dreaded, a Boris boot.

Official result now in. Boris takes it on the tie break from Baboo who would have won had he checked the results before posting (although I'd have deducted the Horsham point anyway) :-)

For the record B&ampB both got 7 correct, runners up on 6 were - Boogie, Kernow, Godalming, Oxford James and myself.

Wooden spoon to Hog who only managed 3 from 12.

Huzzah!

On reflection, I think Baboo probably had the right tactics - you're more likely to notch up points if you predict all the non-league teams to lose, than you are if you try to be clever and think you might be able to guess shocks.

Agreed, that was an excellent format for the boot.
