Apologies for the latest period of downtime (hey, isn't that a Dusty Springfield song? or was it Petula Clarke?).

Apparently the servers that our host ISP use (unfortunately, and somewhat coincidentally, hosted by Pipex, who were responsible for deleting our site before) suffered a major hardware failure, and it took their engineers five hours to diagnose and fix the fault. We have been assured that this is actually quite a rare event, so hopefully we can now have a few days of uninterrupted online discourse before the Slumdon fans at Pipex sabotage our site again.

.. it was the microwave radio router decided that it did not want to live anymore and blew itself up !
