Well they have sold over 5000 this morning so I think they will sell out and get some of our/spare allocation.

Impressive.

You called it right. Just seen an article stating that they have sold out their initial allocation and have been allocated another 6.5k.

Coventry City's allocation increased to 45,741 - going to be a massive crowd at Wembley!

Huge cash windfall for the finalists this year according to this up to date piece
from the Coventry Observer. Cov could even get more tickets!

Going to be interesting to see how they work out any further tickets. We've only been on sale for a short period of time compared to them and some of that time the system has been down. People are also waiting for some of the central blocks to come free and we've got a marketing campaign to get going.

That said, I would suggest we wouldn't want any Cov fans to miss out on going if we're not going to sell all of ours. Capping ours at 35,000, which is in excess of both our trips to Wembley should be more than sufficient and should allow more tickets to be given to Cov depending on segregation and how many sponsors/hangers on are given seats. Also gives us a bit more income.

The seasons where we didn't give a fc*k about his competition seem a bit daft considering the million pounds we're going to make in two seasons from it.

Prior to this season, I've always been a big advocate of this competition for the money it could potentially generate for the club and the potential day out at the end of it for fans & players.

Was always very frustrating to see previous managers treat it with disdain.

The ticketing site is not doing us any favours at all - there is really limited options available to buy at the moment, why don't they just open up a couple of blocks at a time. Still seem to be doing good numbers though.

Cov sales have slowed right down though.

In other news I see another member of staff has left - seems to be the DE show now, is he just following through on the cut backs he talked about I wonder.

I do wonder if the way that tickets are being sold are going to mean a last minute rush - everytime I have logged onto the ticket site of late the only seats available have been either quite high up in the gods or £28 seats which are close to the £20 ones so pretty poor value. Everytime they realise a block the front sells out pretty quickly which suggests demand is still there but by making it pretty hard and random for people to get the seats they want would make it quite frustrating if I still needed a ticket I think!
