Kicking off at the Euros

Post by Kernow Yellow » Wed Jun 15, 2016 12:53 pm

Anyone else noticed the new rule change at the Euros? I was a bit surprised to see Fellaini take a kick-off on his own and pass back to a teammate, so I looked up the rules and apparently that's allowed now. Although the FA website hasn't caught up yet and still says the ball must move forwards.

Fascinating stuff, eh?

As to the rest of the tournament, from what I've seen the opening match has been the best so far. Though seeing Ronaldo strop off refusing to shake any Iceland player's hand after last night's draw was also quite amusing.

As for England, let's just hope the next 36 hours can pass off peacefully and we can concentrate on the football...
