One thing I noticed about Rovers players right from the start was their ability to use their strength to get in between the ball and our players, repeatedly putting our players on the wrong side of the bouncing ball. Looking back, I feel that this contributed to Skarz giving away the penalty, Lunds losing out in midfield for their second goal - and even, perhaps, to the foul for the free-kick and their third. I did not think the ref was up to much, but the only substantive thing I would blame him for was getting a second minute of added time from nowhere at the end of the first half, during which time they scored their second goal.

It was a tough footballing lesson, but one we can hopefully learn. Regardless of the fact that the JPT is a very long way from being done and dusted, I doubt that we shall be outmuscled by Millwall in quite the way Blackburn managed.
