A good start at the very posh Witney Lakes Resort tonight. I counted 83 in attendance, but only me modelling the new away kit. Strange that there was no sort of brief introduction or a few PowerPoint slides to set out the bigger picture and future ambitions, just Chris Williams (in an equally posh suit and tie) going straight into a Q&A session which I think took everyone by surprise.

Highlights for me..

Hylton won’t be taking the pens but MApp would not say who would replace him, 3200 STs sold so far compared to 2,600 for the whole of last season, narrowing of the pitch confirmed (like when Ian Atkins insisted on it), same old frustrating problems with Uncle Firoz taking ages to approve anything at the stad, no positive news on ground ownership, and the Methven myth of the Water Eaton move dismissed. Lenagan not in attendance.

Did anyone ask what the current total debt is? And much is it increasing by on a weekly basis? And will it really be paid off/written off in full when the current incumbents move on? And if so why not clear it now so we can all relax a bit?

Presumably it isn't being written off in the vague hope that it may get repaid, for instance if someone came in with a huge takeover bid. Whilst the debt remains interest free and isn't being asked to be repaid I don't see this as a huge problem.
