Be interesting to see how many they sell. I’ll predict one, which is then mass copied and sold on eBay for £0.99 (plus £2.95 p&p of course).

Any why not go the whole hog, and pretend they had also beaten Man U and then got all the way to the final? They could be selling imaginary 2015 Royal Box tickets for Wembley at twice that price!

It does seem quite odd, selling commemorative tickets for a match that was only a potential fixture, it's not like a programme for a postponed game which some people like to collect.

Sounds like a solid marketing plan to me.....

Maybe somebody with more graphic design skills than me (which would mean....'some'!) could knock up some Commemorative Tickets for our first match in the 1986-87 Cup-Winners Cup against Roma. I don't think any of us would've ever forgotten our 3-0 win in Rome, with the same goalscorers from Wembley.

Don't even get me onto winning the final with Houghton and Aldridge bagging a brace each. I honestly think that they would've left us for so-called bigger clubs if we hadn't won that game (I remember a rumour that Liverpool were interested in both).

I also think that we would've slipped down the leagues rather than have had the fantastic 28 year unbroken run in the top division that we have enjoyed.

Just look at Man City floundering in the basement division having previously endured the ignominy of relegation to The Football Conference?

I'd be delighted if we start selling FAC3 home tickets for Swansea; I'm sure they'll be huge interest and revenue can go to the squad. Likewise, we can then beg Swansea for a friendly game and pull on their heart strings much like John Coleman intends to do with LVG.

Just checked out the ‘Planet Swans’ forum and thankfully they have not picked up on this humiliating story. It would make a change coming to Minchery pre-season though as it’s boring watching them stuffing Reading at the MadStad every summer.

Have OxVox ever been in touch with the Swans Trust? They seem to know what they are doing and given they own 21.1% of the club could offer valuable advice, especially as there would be a lot of empathy as only ten years ago were in the same rudderless Division IV boat. You might want to start by watching the recently released film, which is now available on DVD at Amazon. Or if you ask nicely I'm sure the Trust would be pleased to give you a copy.
