I actually think it did what it set out to accomplish, that is to get the issue out in the open and talked about - and in Paddy Power's case to get themselves talked about as well. It sounded a good idea, but sounds like it was all arranged/ managed pretty poorly.
Several clubs have stated that they're keen to engage with the issue more fully (without a betting shop's self-promoting involvement) - that, and the exposure the episode has gained including social media stuff, can only be a good thing.
Anyway, no-one's answered my question about whether there was any OUFC-related involvement in the campaign at all on Saturday?
