Deary Me...I have been slacking - my apologies to one and all:

As my willing understudy OUFC4eva has informed you:
Tony Humes was sacked by Colchester on 26th Nov, with Wayne Brown eventually appointed caretaker - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34934309
and we were all sad to see Dean Saunders sacked at Chesterfield two days later - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34955150

In a surprise move (perhaps), one of the top five longest serving managers, Dean Smith, left Walsall to take the moneyball job at Brentford on the 30th - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34963726

the 1st of DEcember saw Paul Sturrock go at Yeovil (Darren Way c/t) - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34976931

Certain bookies took a number of sizeable bets on Weds for certain TV pundit to be appointed at Fulham and breathed a mighty sigh of relief when it was announced that Gary Neville was taking the managers job at Valencia

Then yesterday saw two changes with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink reaping the reward for his wonderful stint at Burton by taking the QPR job (with Dave Oldfield as asst)- http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35005002
while Steve Clarke reaped the reward for talking to Fulham about their job, by losing his at Reading (MArtin Kuhl c/t) - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35005713

which by my reckoning leaves 8 clubs currently without a permanent manager in place.....

One filled - Nigel clough returns to Burton - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35021858

Stuart GRay also appointed as Senior coach at Fulham, but sounds like there is to be someone above him - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35039609 - with Slavisa jokanovic also in the frame.

Garry Monk holding on at Swansea, but owner says ' something needs to change' with Brendan rodgers and David Moyes waiting in the wings

Wilder second favourite for Chesterfield behind Mark cooper
Wayne Brown odds on for Colchester
Brian McDermott odds on for Reading, ahead of Neil Lennon
John Ward heads the list for Walsall, with Adam Murray at 16s
Yeovil wide open with Dennis Wise, Gary McCallister and Terry Skiverton on the list

Seems insane. A great season last time around, and not like they're in the relegation zone or anything.

What saddens me is that this was even being talked about 3,4,5 games ago, when their position wasnt as bad as it is now - as though there were people in some quarters attempting to put more pressure on him to fail - not suggesting anyone in particular, but these stories surfaced far earlier than they should have done..

I have to presume that there was some discontent internally to spark such stories, but not sure that would necessarily be the players - had he really lost the dressing room? Only issue I know about (from a distance) was Michu's fall from grace, but I'm not even sure what that was all about anyway.

in a roundabout way, it sort of makes me want them to go down more than I had done previously, just to serve them right! Perhaps Mon could take one of the Championship jobs on offer and overtake them on their way down?

It’s still a very big mystery to me why Monk went.

As for Miguel Pérez Cuesta, then after a Saturday game I used to go out for Sunday lunch with a friend to a pub called The Pumphouse overlooking Swansea Marina after a walk along the beach. We’d often see him in there drinking more beer than I’d usually attempt at any time of day, and with a girl who wasn’t his partner back home. So, I guess that makes him a normal bloke but also one of the many potential stars of the game who’s fame went to his head.

So,

Still out at Luton - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35121874

McDermott back at Reading - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35050593

Jose back out at Chelsea

and SOD in at Walsall - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35132127

Cooper just ahead of Wilder for Chesterfield
Kevin Keen now odds on for Colchester
Monk now ahead of jokanovic for the lead role at Fulham
Marcelo Bielsa somehow favourite for Swansea, from Poyet in second
and would you believe serial hopeless boss Paul Ince is favourite for Luton (what a shame eh?)
