and Chris Kiwomya at Notts County.

David Jones at Sheffield Wednesday is another name of course under pressure

Most of those under threat before the weekend got results of some degree, so maybe another couple of weeks before the next axe falls....

Even at 50/1 I wouldn't put anything on that Snake. By Christmas I would expect that at least one will be off and probably more. With the extra TV money anybody near the bottom will be under real pressure and one or 2 Chairmen will be getting nervous.

Will they want him? If he's offered it I'm sure he'll go. Has he demonstrated enough qualities to stand out in the list of likely applicants? I don't know enough about the particular circumstances at Brammall Lane to have an opinion on that. There obviously wouldn't be so much compensation to pay now if they did want him.

Mmm, Wilder to replace Weir this time (for those that aren't keeping up) - I'd say less likely, if anything, some of his good ol fashioned stubbornness will keep him here to prove he did get the squad right........

More to the point, I would imagine the Sheffield owners are looking for a higher profile name to spend their money. Without looking at the odds, I reckon they might be looking to get someone with Premiership management experience, perhaps a year or three back maybe, but still a 'name' rather than a 'potential name'.



Anyway, I've now looked at the odds and top is Nigel CLough (4/6), then Russell SLade, Richie Barker & caretaker Chris Morgan. More interesting, given the above is maybe Tony Pulis or Stuart Mccall. Wilder is 33/1 alongside PDC (would they?), Paul Jewell & Sven.......
