Tareiq Holmes-Dennis joins Portsmouth on loan.
Injured already and out for 3-4 months so we may have had a lucky escape there! Although it means we're probably competing with Pompey if we want to sign another left back.

It's time for me to step out of the football bubble after 20 years and finally join the 'real' world. I'm looking to start work outside of football but it would need to be something that would still fit around my job as Stirling Albion manager . My role at Stirling is part-time and is 2 or 3 nights during the week and also a Saturday .

I'm open minded about it and would consider both part-time and full-time opportunities in any line of work.

My CV consists solely of football positions for the past 20 years which people might look negatively at but there's loads of positives and benefits that former footballers like myself can bring to the table . To stay in the game so long you obviously need ability but also discipline , hard work , enthusiasm and to be driven to achieve personal and team goals . I was a team player for 19 years through which time I've captained clubs and shown leadership skills which has progressed into me taking up a managerial role.

I feel as though I have a lot to offer away from football and I'm keen to start another Career outside of the game. If anyone is interested or knows of someone or companies who may be interested in recruiting someone like myself please feel free to get in contact .

Regards
David

Jake Wright doing well at the Blades:

http://www.viewfromthejohnstreet.com/al ... over-again

"Wright admits he was taken aback when Oxford United manager Michael Appleton, who in June became No2 to Leicester City’s Craig Shakespeare, informed him he was surplus to requirements before joining the Blades.

“It was a shock to be told, especially after we got promoted with the best defensive record in the league,” said Wright. “I had been here [at Oxford] six-and-a-half years and I was settled, my kids were at school, so it wasn’t something I wanted to do. I saw myself staying at Oxford for as long as I could and hopefully retiring there.”

But Oxford's loss, which now looks like a big mistake, was United’s gain."

Matt Day exerts player pressure at National South level by demanding to be released from his contract at Hungerford following the resignation of manager Bobby Wilkinson ...

Wilkinson was appointed to the Wealdstone job only a couple of days after walking out on Hungerford so I wonder where Day will go next?
