Saw Aaron Woodley, Sam Warrell and Andy Gunn, plus and ex youth teamer Conor McDonagh, all for play North Leigh v Didcot yesterday. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/northleig ... 23354.html

Thought about City v Brackley, but didn't after reading Winters was injured. Already seen one Oxford side without a left winger this weekend;) Typical, he played!

It is really disappointing about Aaron Woodley. I wonder why he didn't achieve what it appears was his potential?

Matt Taylor and Sam Ricketts have shown that it is possible to succeed (I appreciate that they are at very different levels) , having gone down the leagues and then proving themselves.

From BBC Transfer Deadline update page:

LEAGUE TWO

Northampton Town sign former Leicester, Leeds and Colchester defender Matt Heath on a contract until January. The 31-year-old was already playing for the Cobblers on non-contract terms.

Hoglette tells me that Damian Batt has announced on Twitter today that he has turned down several good offers to continue playing to retire from full time football to concentrate on his business interests.
