Reflections on a Free Weekend

Post by The Boys from Up the Hill »

I've written a little rambling thing examining a few of our recent problems and how we might solve them, Although it's not great that we have no football to watch this weekend, I think there are several reasons why it may be good for the team to have a break this weekend.

With no OUFC match this weekend are any of you planning to make it to any other local matches? I think Oxford City and Didcot Town are both at home.

You can always watch the Euro 2012 draw.

Seems to have got off to an interesting start - http://fourfourtwo.com/news/euro2012/91379/default.aspx

Watched a nil nil draw in the FA Cup.

Nice to see Michael Alexis playing again at a resonable level in Midfield for Salisbury.

Rob Duffy came on as a sub for the Mariners and did not make much of an impact.

Funny, I thought he looked quite useful. As did the ITV commentators, who kept praising him. By far their best player from what I saw, but that was only the last half hour. Maybe the scoreline tells its own story though.

The main plus point of the second round was Aldershot losing, so at least we won't have another free weekend on 7th Jan.
