From a Bradford City fans website: "Tranmere Rovers cancelled the contract of ex-City midfielder Paul McLaren by mutual consent on Friday. He returned to Prenton Park for his second spell at the club in the summer of 2009 and has made just eight appearances. Les Parry said: “He was a little bit unfortunate, because when he got back in the side he picked up a back injury from which he never fully recovered. We had an amicable meeting and decided that the best way forward was for him to move on.
