GREAT idea for a game!

Here's my four penn'orth, for what it's worth. Little bit difficult to keep informed from the bottom of the world, but I have every faith that we are amongst the promotion contenders next year around as well.

1. Gillingham
2. Bradford City
3. Oxford United
4. Rotherham United
5. Burton Albion
6. Northampton Town
7. Why come, Wankers?
8. Stevenage
9. Aldershot
10. Bury
11. Chesterfield
12. Port Vale
13. Southend United
14. Morecambe
15. Shrewsbury Town
16. Crewe Alexandra
17. Hereford United
18. Lincoln City
19. Accrington Stanley
20. Torquay United
21. Stockport County
22. Cheltenham Town
23. Macclesfield
24. Barnet

FA Cup chance - WhyCome?, just to annoy us.

Good luck all!

Thanks for your entry YC but Oxford are already taken on the tie break.

Please choose a Div IV club not already taken.

Chelsea? Did I miss something? Have they gone bust and been demoted to Div IV?

OK I am a fool and after the significant pre-season I have tweaked my entry with Oxford sneaking into the play-offs.

I have moved Southend up onto our coat-tails as they appear to be resolving their problems.

Anyone else want a go?

Yep. Bradford is yours for the tie break.

5th is a bit optimistic from you is it not?

Yep. A twenty must have dropped off. But then you have to imagine that we will have been in an automatic promotion slot for the whole season until slipping back in the last few games, to lead to a gut-wrenching disappointment in the play-offs as a narrow lead is thrown away and a penalty shoot-out turns horribly sour.

I'm frankly amazed that everyone without exception so far seems to think we're going to finish in the play-offs or better.

That’s because Football fans as a rule are a bunch of eternal optimists and would much rather predict a season full of success and glory. We look at life through Yellow (in our case) tinted spectacles. The ratio of these optimistic souls is about 70/30 over the gloom mongering nay sayers with their “we’re doomed, we’re doomed
