Rosie's scissor kick goal against Chelsea.

And for some reason I have really fond memories of the 6-0 stuffing at Liverpool and 7-0 at Sunderland.

Middlesbrough.

Why wasn't Father Christmas given a banning order and an ASBO?
Probably because it was about twenty years before the introduction of ASBOs. From memory, I think the game was played on 22 December 1984, a date burned into my brain by the trauma of Alan Biley's two late goals. And Billy Hamilton still had time to hit the bar.

Having been out of the country for the true 'glory years', my favourite memories tend to stem from that incredible run-in of the 95/96 season. We were suddenly, unexpectedly winning games 4 and 5 and 6-0, as a previously average team suddenly clicked. What made it even more enjoyable was the fact that I didn't really even think about (automatic) promotion until the last couple of games, which meant I could enjoy the run without terribly much tension involved. That last match against Peterborough sure was a tense affair though.

Until we got a little help from Grazioli. (I thought he got our first - Soccerbase shows Elliott netting the first and Grazioli getting the second.)
He's one ex-Slumdon player who should definitely NOT be booed.

Grazioli definitely got the first, no question at all about it.

Another memory: winning 3-2 from 2-0 down at Leicester. For some reason I am under the impression that was the first time Oxford had ever won an away game from 2-0 down. Can that be true?

Was that the one where Alex Dyer dribbled his way through the Leicester defence to score? I'm fairly sure it is.

I seem to recall Gary Shelton scoring. (Too lazy to look it up)

Didn't he score three goals for us, all of them against Leicester?

He did, and if I remember correctly we then sold him to Bristol City, and he scored against us twice.
