Re: Consistency

Also is this really how a supporters group should work - (unofficially?) backing a takeover without the knowledge of its membership last year, and making secret contingency plans now? The point is - if you're going to run a supporters group or a fan club everything must be open and democratically a...

http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/local-football/non-league/fa-clear-up-campbell-contract-confusion-as-oxford-loan-striker-to-torquay-1-7111468 The FA make it sound quite simple so not sure how the two clubs got themselves in such a mess over it? Communication is key. Thanks to the FA and the Shi...

Re: Consistency

I am not sure I am over-egging it. I had conversations last night at our FEB Committee Meeting where I think I will find it difficult to justify carrying buying a season ticket for two people and watching turgid football. I am scared to death of relegation. I am scared to death of what next season w...

Re: Consistency

OxVox will be growing it's membership in the coming 12 months. It is a key objective moving forward. FWIW, it's worth repeating that OxVox's relationship with Lenagan had probably been the best relationship the Trust has ever had with any owner. Vitally, it questioned the club on a bi-daily basis ab...

Re: #together

OxVox have a meeting with the owners on Tuesday. Would anyone like any sensible questions raised? Eric has continually referred to this forum recently as full of misery. I have to disagree. I don't post much on here but people asking legitimate questions or making relevant observations is perfectly...

Re: OxVox. Remember them?

If I could add a couple of points, having met personally with Mr Kassam last year on behalf of the Trust and along with Mark. I think there is a point where Mr Kassam would consider selling and probably at a more reasonable cost than is regularly touted. The RTB despite some mocking it and its usefu...

Re: Rugger off ...

Someone needs to tell those egg chasers about our Gypsy curse. And also anyone thinking about buying a house on what is now the Minchery Farm pitch when both sides of Grenoble Road get concreted over as it’s clearly not just football orientated. Especially in Number 13. Coincidentally, that's 13 sl...

Re: OxVox. Remember them?

Agreed. I think it's a good thing that the management have said they don't want OxVox to be fundraising for the club - that should leave OxVox free to fundraise and build contacts for the much more important long-term goal of having a supporter-owned club (or, at the very least, having the financia...

Re: OxVox. Remember them?

Of course not everyone will have seen our most recent committee meeting notes. I shamelesslly have copied the following, having been in attendance at the 'informal' November meeting. Review of previous meeting’s minutes: Most actions had been carried out. The communication survey was to be postponed...

Re: The U's v Cheltenham Town

Given how long we've been stuck at this awful level (or below) I would argue the fans have been very patient. Many have now lost patience and have voted with their feet. I agree with you Ty - I didn't really appreciate the "you need to show some patience" line. Patience has been given in ...

Re: The U's v Cheltenham Town

I didn't hear what he had to say either, but I know others were fuming at his comments about fans needing to be patient. I heard it. Having had time to reflect, I'd like to ask all our fans for patience too as the alternative is not worth thinking about. Just for the record, I'd say most/all our fa...

Re: Imaginative marketing ideas

I'd be delighted if we start selling FAC3 home tickets for Swansea; I'm sure they'll be huge interest and revenue can go to the squad. Likewise, we can then beg Swansea for a friendly game and pull on their heart strings much like John Coleman intends to do with LVG.

Embarrassing.
