Indeed. Although since the Fever game is apparently likely to kick off at 9.30am (if it happens), there shouldn't be too much traffic on the roads at that time.

Just means it's worth trying to stay as near as possible, or suffer a very early morning.

Weymouth

Is anyone having any joy booking a hotel/B&ampB in Weymouth for the Sunday night? If so, any chance of saying where? Everywhere I try says either they're full or that they want a minimum 2 night booking for a bank holiday weekend.

Cheers.

Any ideas which other sides will be playing in that one Boris? What with your OxVox inside information and that...

Also disappointed at this. Mainly because of memories of his performance in the 'dead' game against Rochdale, where he looked like the best winger we've had for many a year. Well, since Beauchamp/Powell, anyway. Where exactly is the width coming from this season? From wing-backs by the looks of thin...

On a Friday

Interesting piece on TiU about Mick Brown challenging Cambridge's wish to move our game there to the Friday night. Good to see the club standing up for its fans for once. And another piece of positive, pro-active PR. If this continues it can only do good in terms of making the club feel part of the ...

Although I'm no longer the manager, I think this would be something that Raging Fever would be keen to support.

I've let John (current manager) know - I'm sure we'll be able to get a team together.

I also preferred the boot, because it didn't matter when I forgot to post predictions every other week, but will happily take part in anything that's going.

That was my initial reaction. But actually, if there are a few thousand 'plastic' Man Utd fans living in the area who are prepared to pay good money to watch this game, the club should fleece them for everything they've got. I can't imagine a fixture I'd be less interested in attending. Prices look ...

The more I watch of this World Cup, the more I realise that it's quite impossible for refs to do a good job when all the players are such pathetic cheats. Retrospective punishments - proper ones, not paltry fines - are the only way to stop it happening. Henry should be sent home from the World Cup i...

Re:

and now a new reserve coach I'm all in favour of boosting the backroom staff - after all, this is the area everyone agreed that Kassam neglected most. I do wonder what North's appointment says about Jim Smith's opinion of Patterson, though. There now appear to be two coaches (plus Smith himself) in...

Agree with GY about post-match sanctions for diving (and other forms of cheating). It's the only way the game will ever rid itself of it. Obviously this is only really workable for televised games, but that would at least teach 'the kids' that this sort of thing is wrong. Diving seems to have become...

Re:

Interesting how the national team colored glasses can't tint things. I thought the Mexican ref wasn't great but wasn't horrible. I didn't mean he was anti-England. I just thought he was very erratic, and wanted to be the star of the show. Everything a referee shouldn't be. Not as bad as the guy tha...

Re: Stupid referee

Possibly the most shocking performance by a referee I've ever seen. That guy needs to be banned from competitive matches for life. I am, of course, referring to the Italy-USA match which was a fair 1-1 in the end. Still, neither USA red card was deserved and the foul calls on both teams were often ...
