Re:

I'm sure I'll be shot down for this but how can the FA say they 'prefer' an English or British manager? If I advertised a role and made such a stipulation, I don't believe my feet would touch the ground.....have I missed something? The English FA (I hope) are nationalists, and that’s not a crime. Y...

Re:

On the England manager front, surely I'm not alone in thinking that Harry would be a terrible choice for the job? His best skill has always been picking up great players for bargain prices. A skill that's completely useless for an international manager. My choice would be Sam Allardyce. His skill i...

Coincidence? All I'm going to say is Harry must have some friends in very high places. Fabio should be getting his letter from Rosie very shortly...

Re:

The England Captain is a major role within the FA and they must decide who is best for that role. They have not told Terry he cannot play (which is better treatment than he would get in other lines of work), simply that they do not wish him to lead the team whilst this accusation is hanging over hi...

Re:

Yes it would be normal to suspend someone if their actions might bring their employer into disrepute, or if it related to another employee even if the actions were outside the workplace. If found to be guilty they could be sacked as well. In the JT case of course the issue is directly related to th...

Re:

I thought this might stir up a good old ding dong! The argument that John Terry is effectively being convicted by being stripped of the captaincy is nonsense in my view. the argument of innocent until proven guilty is a perfectly reasonable concept but has nothign to do with an argument about JT re...

The key word here is 'accused'. John Terry hasn't, as yet, been found guilty of anything. Whatever happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'? Whether they intended it or not, by removing JT from the captaincy role, the FA have, effectively, tried and convicted him in the eyes of the publc. I've no ...
