A strange side to pick by CW, but fair play it paid off. Good to see Davis come good and Ruffels and Marsh getting further game time.
To those who went how did the fringe players do last night?

Re: Pompey
Pro-Wilder lobby...anything to add? (PS. Not though I'm anti-Wilder, I just want to hear your views now the wheels may be off.) I think that the vast majority of supporters are not in a pro Wilder, anti Wilder camp. They just want the club to be successful and can see the good and bad. We have a te...

In my mind the Scunthorpe result was not good but not a big surprise. They are in fantastic form. But the one point from Plymouth and Pompey- two very average (or less than average) teams was terrible.
Re: Pompey
The home form is now a real issue. Not only are we drawing and losing far too many games but we look clueless in trying to break down teams including a very poor Pompey. Sure we missed Kitson a lot, but even without him we should be doing better than that? So Scunthorpe- well they are on a real roll...

Re: nicky wroe
Without trying to exaggerate too much, this could be a huge signing for Oxford and CW. In my view this kind of player is exactly what we have needed since Bulman left. He seems to score a few goals and if he can pass and is 'box to box' he could really add to the side. He has been in promotion winni...

Re: charlton away
I also fail to see why it is either the league or the Cup. As others have said the Cup hardly did Bradford any harm and to a certain extent a team can get on a roll through having good cup performances and results (we seemed to do OK in the league and Cup under Jim Smith in the 80's). So go for both.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER TARGETS
OK, it's heresy, but perhaps we should keep our hands in our pockets this January? I can't remember a season when there were so many strong teams vying for the top seven places. It's not altogether guaranteed that a couple of new players, however good, would mean promotion, and if that's the case, ...

Re: Building houses on the car park?
I can't see any planning permission being agreed unless there is adequate alternative parking?
Snake would have a more informed view, but it would seem a bit daft to allow the parking to become even more difficult for big games (which if we were to go up would happen more regularly)

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER TARGETS
Whilst having some slight concerns about he strikers (Smalley is so inconsistent and injury prone and Marsh seems to be seen as not good enough), I tend to agree with GY that they one thing that we need to do is to get a replacement in for Asa Hall. I think he did OK (certainly far better than Davie...

Re: Ryan Williams
Yes very good news.
He has been one of the best players in the last month and adds something to the team. Not only does he have pace and skill , but he also is starting to pop up with goals as well.
A very important signing in my view

Re: U18s FA youth cup - Decision time for Snake
Wow. A stunning result. I can only assume that Swansea have the resources to spend significantly more money on youth development than us, so it shows how far our youth team has progressed since IL came on the scene. Well done IL, Chris Allen and all of the coaches. With the excellent recent results ...

Dagenham game
OK nobody else seems to want to start, so to Saturday's game. How enjoyable it was. I took my son who used to be a ST holder but has lost interest a little since becoming a 'happy' teenage boy. he last went to the Newport game (only game this season) and he really enjoyed it. He did comment how Kits...
