Re:

I feel sorry for York. First they lose Brodie, now this.

Their fans were great at Wembley - gracious in defeat and played their part in a wonderful day. I was really hoping they'd get promoted this year and join us back in the league.

Not sure that's going to happen now.

Re:

I read somewhere that Crawley director Bruce Winfield is seriously loaded. They are debt free and apparently very ambitious to get in the FL. True, but as soon as the Chairman gets bored, they'll be f*cked (see: Rubbish &amp Dustbins, Gretna, Grays 'Flettic, possibly Histon et cetera &amp a...

Re:

Can someone post a link to the FEE? Can't see it anywhere! Don't think anyone knows for sure. I'd heard £250k, but other sources say higher. With any sell-on clauses and appearance bonuses, it makes it hard to give a definitive figure. Even if it was just £250k, that's still a hell of a lot of mone...

Interesting post GY. I wasn't at the game and can't listen to RadOx online any more, so this is the first proper analysis I've read of the match! To what extent do you think this was inevitable, given the exigencies of Tuesday's game? A 'hangover factor' was surely always likely? Ignoring the Tinpot...

Sadly, I suspect any cricket talk today will be on an altogether more unsavoury topic

Boris - good blog post (to which I replied yesterday).

If ever there was an advert for why I don't want Oxford to occupy a place in the bland, empty, corporate space of the Premiershi*, this is it. For all the shortcomings of the lower leagues and non-league, at least football clubs - mostly - still understand that they are nothing without the fans. Whe...

Free West Ham ticket

Hi folks. I have a free West Ham ticket to give away. The club accidentally sent it to me with my Wycombe ones, but I can't go and all my mates already have one. If anyone would like the ticket, get in touch and I'll post it first-class tomorrow. If you feel so inclined, you can make a donation to t...

Re:

second best in the first half, we took the game to wycombe in the second half. while we never looked quite as composed, considered, or incisive as wycombe moving the ball forward, our helter-skelter attack should have got us a goal. Fair analysis. Thought a point was probably fair on both sides, al...

Agree that his workrate yesterday was exceptional. Covered an awful lot of ground. His performaces this season remind me of Clist last year - 100% committed, putting heart &amp soul into every game. Great to see. Honourable mention also to Beano, who on the evidence of the last two games is deve...
