Re: Is Wilder losing it?
Calling the FA Cup game "very important" is stretching it a bit - it was a secondary game, presumably why he tried something like. Like Ty Cobb, I'd challenge this idea. What we've learned in the league after fifteen games is that we're (probably) not good enough to go up and (almos...

First transfer dealings between the two clubs for a while. Umm don't think it might lead to a player going in the other direction do you?

What was Beano suffering from? Dontwannabecuptiedalitis? I'm seriously sceptical about all of this speculation that Beano's on the move hence his omission yesterday. I would wager that the reason he was left out was because he was ill. Apart from anything else, would any club really want to buy him...

Boris - as an AFC-supporting mate put it in a text to me earlier: " What the hell would we write in the matchday programme? 'We welcome the players and supporters of MK Dons to Kingsmeadow today'? Don't think so! " I just hope that if it does happen, the media actually focus on the r...

Speaking of which, who else would like to see Wimbledon –v- Wimbledon (sic) happen in the next round? Well, not most Wimbledon fans, as it happens. All the AFC fans I know are saying that they're hoping Stephen Hedge can beat Franchise in the replay to avoid an AFC-Franchise fixture. A Wimbledon-Fr...

Re:
On the evidence, is it fair to say that this side has regressed in the last fifteen games? We drew nil-all at Burton in August today we lost 1-0. Of course no two games are the same, but the signs aren't good. I was unable to listen to the commentary today (I live beyond the range of Radio Oxford), ...

....An experinced captain in midfield made to a side down to 10 men after 17 minutes. Mansell marshalled his team very well IMHO. Quite. It’s not often I promote a url link to what used to be called ‘TiU’ before Newsquest/The Oxford Mail fucked off their Oxford United based clientele so much that 99% of their contributors migrated to other Internet discussion sites, but on this occasion I’m going to make an exception as the matter o...

Are we back to the debate of what is versus what should be? By definition (and the laws of physics) the foul occurs before the player goes down (ignoring divers, obviously), so at speed the time lag is part of the consideration and is one problem with the laws simply that the situation you describe...

Re:
Clist was fouled and was prevented from taking up a goal scoring opportunity. Except he wasn't, was he? The ball had already run beyond his reach when he went down. The goalscoring opportunity had been and gone. You could still make a case for a penalty (although I still say it wasn't from where I ...
