I believe that the &quotplaying budget&quot can be adjusted at the end of November and end of January to take in to account things like decent cup runs, TV money, huge attendances etc. On the subject of attendance, we currently have the 6 biggest attendances of the season with our home games...

UE: Myles Francis goes to an Oxford game.
As it's 10 minutes down the road, surely it'd be more unexpected if I didn't go?

Re:

Didn't Murph score a bazillion from the penalty spot? I have a faint memory of him scoring 8 penalties of 15 goals one season or something like that. Don't think he did. He got 3 pens out of 11 goals in 99-00 - virtually all his others were from open play. I never did understand the vitriol poured ...

Re:

I suppose the classic example of not counting chickens before hatching is Millwall's 89-90 season in the top flight. Top and unbeaten after 5 games, got gubbed by ManUre and only won another 2 games all season. For me, the next 2 games are vital ones to pick up decent results as after them it's not...

I'd imagine you'd be very hard pushed to find one who has done it with different clubs.

Commentary OK via the normal RadOx link tonight. It seems to be the Saturday games which are blocked, which leads me to suspect that it's a general BBC blockage on the off chance that their local stations could be broadcasting something to whicih they don't have the rights, rather than a locally imp...

Re:

I was told a few months ago that StadCo is expected to make £1m profits this year, though I will believe it when I see it, and Kassam is placing a high value on the trading side of things. Likewise. Considering StadCo made a loss of (from memory) around £250k the previous year, that's a fair turn...

Re:

Just got the email from PTV - full refund for this seasons subscription has been initiated. I did consider this route, but the vast majority of the money goes to the club for World subs, so presumably any refund will have to be paid by the club as well. I did think about this, but I'm not sure what...

Re:

I do feel that folks are missing the point. Whilst the club has lease on the ground, at a rental it can afford, then its tenancy is reasonably secure. I tend to agree with that Dave. Whilst ownership of the ground may be nice, I feel that currently it would be more expensive to the club than the cu...

Re:

Refund? You must be joking. No chance. You reckon? Significant reduction in the service provided without any advance warning smacks of breach of contract to me. They will argue that we were given advance warning I'm sure. Good luck. Maybe. But no warning was given by them - and it is with them I ha...

Bugger. I've got that message now too. Anyone know what the story is with this? Listend to last night's game fine via RadOx last night. Email now fired off to PTV asking for full refund as no highlights and no exclusive commentary = no value IMHO. Refund? You must be joking. No chance. You reckon? ...

Can you? When I tried tuning into a game via the RadOx site I got the message about the broadcast not being available because of contractual issues. Bugger. I've got that message now too. Re:

I see Gough has been trundled out again for the one-day squad  Agree with DLT, although Gough is one player I would actually make an exception for. The only reason he isn't in the test squad is because his knees won't hold up for 5 days continuous play. As a 1 day bowler, he is so accurate, sw...
