I've gone for Franchise, pretty much for the same reason as Smileyman. Although... by some strange quirk of fate Sw*nd*n have a habit of changing divisions at the same time as we do (think last season, and 1996 when we both went up, as examples) - so their promotion could possibly be a good omen for...

By the way GY - I think you are seriously tempting fate by not having a &quotWorse than 5th place&quot option on this poll, unlikely though it may be.

I've gone for 3rd and not promoted. 3rd, assuming we win our next two games and draw at KitKat Crescent, and Morecambe win their remaining games. Which means that I think we'll play York in the semi's. I have this horrible feeling that if we do get to Wembley, after all the penalties we've had this ...

Re:

I don’t subscribe to the opinion given by many I talked to at half time and at the end of the game that Weymouth were awful and could not defend for toffee I think Weymouth were very poor defensively I cannot remember another game where we had so many free headers at corners. But I also think that ...

Re:

However, if he is released, should he be our first signing for next season? Absolutely. Particularly if we can't get Danny Rose. I really hope next year we don't go down the old has-beens route again. I'd much rather a squad of hungry, ambitious youngsters (supported by a bit of experience (but not...

Doesn't that table actually suggest that 74 is enough to get in the playoffs? Happy if that's the case!!

No, it were me. I can see all the playoff candidates continuing to drop points. Morecambe seem to be the only team with anything remotely resembling consistency at the moment (other than Dagenham of course).
I think 74 might still be on the high side.

Re:

Pity he's not a tad faster. ...and could pass to another player in a Yellow shirt - a la Gilly he has a tendency to lump it, mind you after todays dullness you could level that at all of them. He does bring a decent long throw and a decent right foot shot to the team though. If Johnson and Burge do...

Agree with DLT if it's four.

If it's five across the back:

Anaclet, Foster, Quinn, Corcoran, Johnson.

Re:

I think John Aldridge got one in about seven minutes during the Ipswich comeback in 1985-6. I was begging my dad (God bless 'im) to take me home after Ipswich went 3 up. The fat lady was well into her second verse by then. Suffice to say that this game was the last occasion I ever considered leavin...

I haven't seen it on the telly but I agree with DLT re. the Burgess chance. I said to the missus at the time that I thought the pass was played fractionally behind him. I'm sat too far up the park to make any comment about the offside. I agree that the turning point of the game was bringing Hargreav...
