Re: Liam Managing

Can I be the first to say Manning Out? I get the strong smell of relegation with this squad and have since I watched the game at Fleetwood that we somehow won. I didn't see the Lincoln game but while we were reasonable against Derby, the fact our best chances fell to O'Donkor (who I like, but we sho...

Re: KR in / KR out?

The fact we now have 2 joint-captains and 3 joint-managers shows what a mess we're in. If we get relegated this season it will be a bigger balls up than the relegation to the Conference. It still looks to me that the lack of structure is a large part of the problem, the board relied heavily on KR fo...

Re: KR in / KR out?

After the last 3 defeats I've thought they've got to make a change now, but the board (or whichever bit of it makes these decisions) don't seem to be willing. Robinson has been the figurehead of the club for so long, there is a vacuum above it seems. Our head of recruitment resigned before Christmas...

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

It looks (at least if this link is to be believed) like the covenant only covers 25 years so expires at the same time.

Re: Yorkshire brew

Agree with all of this, although I thought Bate was decent in midfield and we lost all structure once he went off. Our lack of midfield cover might be about to be exposed - given all we have is Smyth who was punted from his loan at a mid-table conference team. Once again there didn't seem to be a pl...

Just to contradict myself - it seems Wycombe do occasionally sell a player....

Re: Trouble Brewing

From a brief look, I don't think Wycombe sell many players. A few leave upwards on free transfers, but they appear to have success with more of an experienced pro squad. Which is something we moved more towards this season...

Re: Trouble Brewing

It was really bad - similar to Fleetwood away, but with our short good patch happening at the start rather than the end. We're a bit stuck regarding the manager. I think it would be better for him and us if he left before the supporters fully turn on him, if they haven't already. He's been a good ma...

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

The impression the club give is that even if they wanted to extend the lease at the Kassam, they can't as the stadium company doesn't want to. I imagine Kassam is quite keen to cash in on the land. from - https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/20244924.oxford-united-md-kassam-stadium-lease-stratfield-br...

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

One thing on the size - the new Spurs stadium is 200m by 250m in terms of footprint (at least according to wikipedia) so bigger than your theoretical Kassam footprint, but only by 30m in one direction (the Kassam is a spacious, terribly designed stadium after all). Obviously their capacity is bigger...

A real live game for me, which was welcome and pretty enjoyable (although had the result been different I probably wouldn't say that). I think that was possibly the luckiest win I've ever seen for Oxford. I have a memory of us beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at the Manor where we were battered and David ...

Relatively predictable really and highlighted our problems this season. First 45 minutes we were good, solid, decent in possession (if understandably cautious) but never looked threatening. 2nd half Arsenal stepped it up a bit and understandably we couldn't quite cope once they got in front. Made th...

Re: All over bar the shouting

I only saw the Charlton and the Exeter matches (via ifollow). They were very similar performances, very good first half, poor second. The difference being the 2 goals we scored in the first half of the Charlton game compared to the missed chances against Exeter. 3 points from those 2 games seems abo...

Re: A valiant effort

It feels like we're about where we belong in the league now. Anderson was the most interesting performance, he added something significant that we've missed this season - defenders carrying the ball forward, but gave me the heeby-jeebies defensively. We look a better team with Henry in it too, not q...

Difficult to find much to say about Wednesday. Two very average League One teams playing a very bad game of League One football with some questionable refereeing. Took me back to the Conference days in terms of overall standard. Form wise we're doing ok, 9 points from the last 6 games, which is bord...
