Stevenage to me are one of the better teams of all of those we could play in the Play offs.
I do wonder though whether both Stevenage and Kiddy will suffer due to the fixture pile up they will have as well as the Trophy Final they will play presumably shortly.

Morecambe or Burton. We have a shocking record against Exeter (what is it about clubs in Devon)? Stevenage are the quality team in my view (although they may well blow up due to fixture congestion). Is anybody really looking forward to the play offs? Some cup games deciding something where the stake...

The game of cricket
There is some really scary speculation (reading between the lines) in today's Telegraph. As MIchael Henderson says, we have to be prepared for some more pretty awful discoveries. As a lover of cricket, I am horified as to what appears to be going on in the game. Constant whispers of match fixing (ea...

Re:
From the same article in today’s Oxford Mail.. But all is not lost, it’s all going to hang on 270 minutes of football in the play-offs and I for one hope that Jim Smith goes down in history as an Oxford United all time legend before announcing his retirement on May 20th. Fingers crossed, eh? Ironic...

Daggers are still firm favourites but ..... IF we can win our next home games they will suddenly be under a lot of pressure. 10 points clear- sruising it. When it gets down to 5 points or even less (even if they have a game in hand), it is suddenly not as easy. We just have to keep winning. Then who...

Re:
Foster like Denis Wise - and closer to home, Martin Gray? I think Foster can play a bit too. I thought he was rather unlucky to get booked, then lucky not to get a second yellow. Obviously Gray played at a much higher level, but Foster seems much better with the ball than Martin Gray. I think he re...
Set Plays
A the moment it seems that virtually all of the goals conceded are from set plays. I wonder what % of those conceded have been from free kicks & corners? Certainly then 2 at Grays, plus the goals against R&D and Cambridge over recent weeks. At the other end, we seem to score very few f...

Re:
I get the impression that Turley is far more vocal (however high pitched) than Tardiff. Turley seems to be much more of an extrovert character than Tardiff - perhaps thats why Jim Smith prefers him. Agree with that. Turley has made a couple of slips in recent games, but other than that I think that...

Re:
I reckon the last time we scored 5 goals away was at Walsall, Richard Hill getting 4 of them in 15 minutes. We won 5-1 having been 1-0 down at halftime. Anyone beat that? Boxing Day 1988. And no, I can't beat that. It's a pity that Andy Howland does not support the U's any more, because he'd be abl...
