Personally, I'd hope we're doing well enough, have kept the injuries down, and have realistic enough ambitions to avoid wasting money during the rip-off window.

Re: BLACK gas

Both fullbacks are good footballers and offer plenty going fwds but it was clear to see yesterday that Rovers were targeting both! They're not the quickest nor the biggest. So the opposition targeted our fullbacks, scored nothing and lost the game...I'm struggling to see why this in any way points ...

Re: New signings

I think Mowatt is going to rip League One teams apart with ease. Great signing!

Re: Spotafan Trophy 2017-18 / #BTeamBoycott

My stance: I will not support the competition while B teams remain in the draw. My apologies to the club for this. Once B teams have all been eliminated, I will support the club if it's still in it - at that point the competition is between the clubs that it should be, and so has become valid. Also,...

I've got an O-level in Maths, a GCSE in Additional Maths, an A-level in Maths, an A-level in Further Maths and a degree in Maths.

Those don't even qualify me to be a mathematician, so I doubt they'd help me run a football team. Except maybe...

Re: Appleton IN

And so Liam Lindsay isn't comoing due to the uncertainty over Appleton. BBC still reporting it as rumours, but if a £250,000 new signing can't be reassured then I doubt anyone else can either. I wonder if Appleton was somehow mixed up in the Sartori bid? Otherwise it really doesn't make sense as a m...

Re: Do you want us to get promoted this season?

It's a pretty poor philosophy though....don't try too hard to succeed, in case the expectations are hard to live up to.

Be the best you can be, ever and always. Anything else is a life half lived.

Re: EFL Trophy Poll

If not going was going to make the FA take note of the fans, in a complete reversal of its attitude since pretty much forever, then there'd be a point.

Re: Football League Trophy

It seems to me that a co-ordinated protest with the Coventry fans would be most effective. Hearing the whole of Wembley shout "No to B Teams" (hey, chants aren't my forté!) for five minutes after kickoff, loud enough to be unmissable on the telly, can't possibly be misconstrued by the FA a...

Well, hard not to be happy with that in the end. Going out in the fifth round, away to Premiership opposition, giving a good account of ourselves. It was Lincoln's day anyway!

Re: Boro

I've just had a few quid on a half-time draw and a Yellow win. No idea what drew me to it, but 16-1 seemed generous, considering we have a solid defence and tend to play better in the second half.

Re: Whisper it...

Hmmm, I was just about to come and post about how often Eastwood is ending up as the man-of-the-match. Yes, he's a great 'keeper, but if the defence and midfield were up to snuff, we'd have to rely on him a lot less. If his form drops, these sneaky wins will turn into three- or four- goal losses in ...
