Re: Different Teams in Different Sports

Not sure what you're trying to imply about the Cornish, but obviously I'm not of Cornish origin, otherwise I wouldn't be following OUFC around the country. I'm from Oxford, hence the one-club stuff. It's in my blood. I guess it's easier for 'outsider' U's fans to change allegiance, I just don't par...

Re: Different Teams in Different Sports

I'll have a go. My first 'live' game was the New Year's Eve clash of 1983 versus Orient the result of which was a 5 - 2 win. Heck of a first game! I have been a resident of the Llanelli area for all 37 years of my life however my grandparents (both sets) originated from Oxford, hence regular visits ...

Re:

I'm sure I'll be shot down for this but how can the FA say they 'prefer' an English or British manager? If I advertised a role and made such a stipulation, I don't believe my feet would touch the ground.....have I missed something? The English FA (I hope) are nationalists, and that’s not a crime. Y...

Re:

On the England manager front, surely I'm not alone in thinking that Harry would be a terrible choice for the job? His best skill has always been picking up great players for bargain prices. A skill that's completely useless for an international manager. My choice would be Sam Allardyce. His skill i...

Re:

You won't find Chris Huhne pin ups on the bedroom walls of many teenagers. However the same cannot be said for Rooney, A.Cole, Terry &amp co. I'm with Mooro on this one on the basis of what he is implying about role models. Everyone should be treated equally. It should not matter whether people...

I've said this before, but Id love to see a one strike and you are out policy applied to all England players - doesnt even have to be a criminal offence, just any behaviour that sets a bad example to young children growing up. If all players know that racism, violence, adultery, drink driving, drug...

Re: A Stadium of three sides ÔÇô official

Even with a potential of a 14,500|| crowd WPL will not build a temporary fourth one (‘cos it cost too much and is too much hassle) and unless we get into the Prem I’d guess that a capacity of 12,500 will be fine and dandy at the Kassam even at Championship level with this lot in charge of the club’...

The lad has just recently joined Cliftonville back in Ireland. Presumably for the absence of Rory Donnelly who I believe has signed for Premier League side Swansea??? You are quite correct in your statement regarding the transfer of Rory Donnelly to Swansea City. It is estimated that a transfer fee...

Goals From Hereford Match

I have seen them on Sky Sports News. The footage looks like it was recorded using a mobile phone.

Who is responsible for recording footage - Sky, the club, someone else?

I think the relationship could have some longevity. He should not have to move for money as he should be minted from his playing days. I appreciate that big budgets don't mean success but it certainly raises the probability of success on the playing field. It's got the makings of 'Crazy Gang 2' abou...

Di Canio on Sky Sports News this morning. When I saw it at ~ 9.30am I could not help thinking that his antics will be viewed by his players as pure passion and that this must in some way provide some extra motivation. The morning clips portrayed him as some sort of land based octopus with arms and l...
