Re: Big pile of poo-sbury (not really)

We are improving. The difference that KR is making is clear in the fighting spirit of the players. We are getting nearer to a settled side now, and we are creating a lot more chances. Stat of the week is that before the Shrews game, we had scored more goals than them this season, which is bizarre. Q...

Re: Tiger

I like the new design. Would have been nice to include the 125, but otherwise, well thought through.

Re: Argyle trial

We could indeed have had the game postponed. My understanding is this didn’t happen because we would have lost the Sky TV money.

Re: Argyle trial

I can. Mowatt's behaviour was disgraceful. Completely unacceptable. He let everyone down and may well have cost us vital points. In a game that Pompey started very well, we came back into it for the last 20 minutes of the first half, and by half time, no one could have grumbled had we gone in on lev...

Re: Karl Robinson

At the end of the day, the process and other candidates no longer matter. We have a new manager and, just like any other new manager, he should get our full support until such time as he shows himself not to be worthy of it. More important than any of this is ensuring we are playing League 1 footbal...

Re: Karl Robinson

What's the evidence that this wasn't Tigers first choice all along - if anything the evidence suggests otherwise. We couldn't appoint him until he had left Charlton - hence the delay. Other names in the frame (or at least with the bookies) were available and if they had been first choice they could...

Re: Karl Robinson

”WOW” ...not. And maybe a better appointment for that. Let’s hope so. It took him 3 seasons to get MK promoted to the Championship, with a lot of cash thrown at it, and then he brought them straight back down again. And in the season after, he was sacked for a losing run in League 1. He’s done OKis...

Re: Who do you want next?

Robinson would definitely not have a "wow" factor, not even close. More of an "oh" factor.

The only wow at the moment is the ridiculous length of time to appoint a manager.

You’re winding me up

http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/16092828.oxford-united-say-winding-up-petition-nothing-to-worry-about/?ref=mr&lp=5 This is a concern. Winding up petitions are not issued that quickly, it is usually many months if not years. Given everything that has been going on, i’ve got a large suspicion, th...

Re: Who do you want next?

I'm pretty much aligned with Dan on this. The shambles isn't down to Eales. Eales had had enough of being slagged off for subsidising our football club and creating one of the most positive and progressive era of changes I have witnessed in our club. In some ways better than the mid-eighties, becaus...

Re: Kane

OY - my point is that it'd be an over-reaction if he was never given another chance to play for us again because of one crass interview. He's shown more than enough in his few appearances so far to suggest he has potential. Apologies, I mis-read your post and for some reason read "is" ins...

Re: Kane

Oh dear. Its not good is it. Not sure he'll get to don an Oxford shirt again. I'd say this would be an over-reaction. He's young, naive, possibly a bit hot-headed. He probably said what most of the fans were thinking. He'll get a charge and a fine, will doubtless be spending more hours than he'd li...
