Re:

I'd say those on the OxVox committee should be more mindful of it too, judging by Res Ox's blithe 'I love the Kasstad, so stop whingeing' attitude. Of course you are perfectly entitled to your opinion, Res On, but you have to accept your opinion is a (very) minority one in this case. Is this a pers...

I've just watched Ghana vs Nigeria in the African nations Cup

I was staggered by the levels of fitness and athleticism in
temperatures of 30 degrees. The level of skill on a crap pitch
was exceptional.

It was some match!

Re:

My apologies, OUFC4eva, the Sports Clinic pp has indeed expired – doesn’t time fly? url removed by admin While you’re on, can you explain how such a development got permission to use part of the football car park (see url below) and what sort of considerations would apply if a more car intensive de...

The back of the East Stand is designed to accomodate executive seating behind glass with waitress service amongst other things. Lots of things that were in the original planning permission/build spec. were not carried out due to time constraints as Birse only went back on site in November 2000 and ...

Re:

Forget the supporters club handle. Fill the east stand with a nightclub/restaurant that opens and serves drinks on matchdays. The facility has to stand up economically and a 'supporters club' concept doesn't. Anyone else been stood in the bar at Gloucester Rugby club 90 minutes after a game, surrou...

YOUTH

I did not realise Posey was at Abingdon United ! The lad made the bench at Northwich and one or two other games in December I seem to recall. Presumably it's a short term loan at Northcourt Road. Does he (Posey) have any height and stature or is he diminutive too? David Malloy was on United's books ...

Blackwood is just what the Doctor ordered for United.

But i had hoped we would bring in another player today.

Still I'm happy and the rebuilding job is nicely underway.

Well done DP on the signings during January.

The other big news from Aggborough is that striker James Constable and big keeper Scott Bevan have joined Shrewsbury Town late tonight for undisclosed fees. The must be very hard up. Rushden's impressive striker Simeon Jackson has joined Gillingham for £150,000 and Stevenage have lost a good player ...

Re:

Nope. Sorry all but this really is one time when I won't take the comments of any one who was not at the game seriously. The team were excellent last night and a real match for the top of the table side. Barring a laps in defending for the corner, we would have come away with a point. A point from ...

Aldershot, top of the league, 21 victories and only 2,500
home fans turn out. A very disappointing gate.

If, as I expect, they do get promoted, what level of support would they get in the FL especially if they struggle, like they did for most of their previous
70 years as a league club?

Re:

Did the Hampshire Hog go to NE Hampshire last night ? Was he one of the 265 ? Did he make the short trip from Basinggrad to Aldersh*t? Nope! That's how bad I feel at the moment. Even worse, I was at work in the Aldershot suburb of Farnborough while the game was on. I did check on the BBC website fo...

ALDERSHOT

........but a decent performance. Plenty of application and endeavour and more than a match for the leaders - the best team in this league - for long periods. We were denied a stick on penalty after two minutes when Richards beat Gier in the penalty area and had his legs taken away. We also worked s...
