Same old
Just had an email from a friend who supports Exeter, asking about Steve Basham. He reports that 'He had a ten-day medical with us before signing, then promptly got injured and hasn't started any of the friendlies'.
Well that's a surprise! I was sorry to see him go but maybe it was for the best.

'Jim not Mourinho' shock claim
Why on earth does Jim pick a completely different team and formation for every game? It might for work for Mourinho, but this is the Conference, and we're playing against teams that make a virtue out of team spirit and consistency rather than individual skill. It's ludicrous to expect our lot to lea...

But what a great game. Second half was like being at the Manor, I swear the pitch started sloping after our first goal! I like to see Burgess in the middle with Hargreaves behind him, and Jim certainly got it right there, though God knows what the idea was in the first half. Yemi - fantastic. What w...

Second in the Conference is better than nearly all the other teams in the division, yes, but I think some people are getting cynical about Smith because we should be doing much better. Not because we're the mighty Oxford United, but because we have much more money and experience at our disposal than...

Aye, harsh but fair, at this level it must all be about management and coaching - I can't believe Stroud and Kidderminster have such thoroughbred players that we can't compete. We've been unlucky to be without our best forward nearly all season, but Smith hasn't responded to the situation, even thou...
Steady on chaps, we played well and could have had five, but Stevenage were poor and missing their goalscorer (their fans seem to agree, see their board). It was all a bit slow and wouldn't have been so easy against a team with more threat up front. But should be good enough to get us into the playo...

You just get the bus up Iffley Road and Rose Hill then, consulting your A-Z if need be, turn left into the last side street before the ring road and go under the ring road into the quaint hamlet of Littlemore, where you will pass various pubs such as the George and the Golden Mile (I always think of...
Hello I'm new, is that allowed? Shame more folk don't use this forum, there must be an alternative to TIU! I thought Duffy and Yemi both did very well on Saturday in their different ways, but they're not a partnership, are they? They're never anywhere near each other. Duffy and Basham is the only pa...
