Re:

46 x an average 2pts per game = 92. 54 = 27 x an average 2 points per game 43 = points already gained. __ 97 points i assume mally's been extra clever and checked that it's 13 home games and 14 away games to go = 53 points, but i can't be arsed to check. Correct, although I don't think it's extra c...

Alex Sabella, perhaps? He's the only Blade I can think of with an Italian name, but I've no idea whether he went to play in Italy. I suppose I could do an internet search, but that would necessitate a level of botheration that I just don't feel. Thanks Boris - at least thats given me a name. Its be...

Well - heres something that has been niggling the back of my brain for the last few days. I seem to recall that during the infamous &quotdi Canio floors the ref' game the commentators made reference to a one time Sheffield United player with dual citizenship. Italian sounding name - born locally...

The last names bugged us also and there were four of us. OK, if we say 2 names to go (there may be more) I'll give you a clue as to the one that I am surprised has not yet been named. England international who had a brother who played for the same club as him before he went to Italy. The last one i...

Just about the worst draw imaginable. We should arrange the results now - they can have the cup game if we have the 3 points.

A draw doesn't bear thinking about - all that way.

The whole match was live (with Spanish commentary) on atdhe.net

Thank God it was - since Radio Oxford got thrown off the internet after half an hour of the match.

It was a great help to ex-pats.

Are we going to get a definitive answer to this one - its beginning to bug me.

OK I recalled Joe Jordan from your last clue - but now I'm stumped.

Re:

The one I really liked when played at a really boring cricket match about 3 years ago is name all the 20(?) would be more now(?) British players who have played in Serie A. ROI players excluded (i.e you can't have Liam Brady). It took 4 of us about 4 hours at the cricket. Give us an idea of the ear...

Re:

You can worship Mammon if you like, but some of us would prefer to get out of this league and forget cup competitions. Like I said, the point of a football club is to win as much as possible. The FA cup's main problem is the replays - they really can over-tire players. The normal cup weekends howev...

By the way, I've also emailed SKY with a complaint, if we all do, they may put it on again. I took your advice and e-mailed them and have just had a call back from 'Angela' in customer relations at Sky. They only have the schedules for the next month and at present it is not scheduled for re-transm...
