Re: Managerial Merry-go-round
Too big (headed) for Swansea, too small for Liverpool. Amazed it’s taken so long. He’s an excellent coach, that’s all.Jimski wrote:Rodgers sacked at Liverpool. (Seems a little harsh given he got an away draw in the derby, and still only 4 points off second).

Oh, a demo at last about the rip off prices at big clubs, but it’s news to me that fans of all 20 clubs will take part in it, given it costs a ST holder in South Wales £21.90 for a home seat and £22 for an away one.

Re: Penalty takers
In reality it has cost Us 3 points had they all been converted into goals this season - or statistically 2.55 points if the average penalty success rate of 85% had been achieved.

Case proven Kernow, that’s a crap link I dug up. Sorry.
Nothing in ‘Ad Hoc’ queries on the Rage Online database either, so it may have to be one of those never to be answered questions than even the anoraks on here can’t crack!

Re: Penalty takers
Of course psychology comes into it. I present Exhibit A.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28180956
The other factor is confidence, and if you keep missing penalties then it's time to stop taking them. And pressure. Would you want Hylton to be taking a crucial pen in a Wembley play-off final?

Just found this link. Two former Oxford players in the top 16 since the Prem started.

League tables mean nothing at this stage of the season, as I keep telling myself. That doesn’t stop me enjoying looking at them though
Shame about the "wow signing" that never happened on the basis of OUFC results in the initial games.

Between 2009 and 2014 Michael Hector was loaned out to Bracknell Town, Didcot Town, Havant & Waterlooville, Oxford City, Horsham, Dundalk, Barnet, Shrewsbury Town, Cheltenham Town and Aberdeen.
Chelsea just paid £4m for him today.

Re: Football League Show
I thought it would be great before MotD as a taster for Linker and Co, but it just jumps all over the place. As for the audience, it’s not Top of the Pops or Top Gear. I never thought I’d miss the boring Steve Claridge and bland Manish Bhasin lulling me to sleep on a Saturday night while I wait for ...

Apologies for not also warning you that the cards are only valid for some turnstiles. Sounds like it went ok though as the kick off was not delayed.

Re: #oufc Fans Forums go on the road
Did anyone ask what the current total debt is? And much is it increasing by on a weekly basis? And will it really be paid off/written off in full when the current incumbents move on? And if so why not clear it now so we can all relax a bit? Appears not. Maybe at Bicester next week eh? Meanwhile, yo...
