Re: Have I Got Old News For You

Pompey recall the July 2020 play-off semi final where they dropped skipper Tom Naylor for being a "winter player". https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/it-was-bizarre-gareth-evans-lifts-lid-on-infamous-tom-naylor-portsmouth-play-off-controversy-against-oxford-united-39...

Re: Sheffuc*ing Frozen Until About Wednesday

I believe the Saturday 3pm iFollow UK live stream was a temporary change during the World Cup. One for another topic, but there are lots of arguments about whether it should be widened to include the 3pm games as some people can pay and stream via VPN, others stream illegally. Then the next question...

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

My thoughts precisely. Looking at the previous plan, that little triangle is much smaller than the intended size for just the stadium, let alone everything around it. It is not at all clear to me how the "considerable challenges" will be resolved simply by moving the stadium site across t...

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

Examples have been given off Brentford and Wimbledon's stadia being built on similar or smaller footprints to the Frieze site. But those included high rise apartments which presumably aren't in the club's plans. Apparently the sticking points over the Brake and the potential Frieze site have been kn...

Re: All Four One

Well it's another train strike on the Friday and Saturday of FAC3R weekend. Arsenal are playing on Tuesday 3rd vs Newcastle, but this shouldn't affect the 2 day rule so we could be playing Friday night. Rumours are we could be picked for a Monday night 8pm on tv. Arsenal are likely to rest some of t...

Re: A valiant effort

I hadn't realised until after the game but those were Mattie Taylor's first goals of the season. Also nice to see us win whilst Brannagan was suspended. With all the negativity floating around the last few weeks, it was quite a boost to get a win with a decent scoreline and into the top half of the ...

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

I was looking at some Firoka accounts on Friday and was quite surprised to read this. The stadium was previously treated as a fixed asset of freehold land and buildings at depreciated cost of some £6M. As a prior period adjustment, it is now shown as an investment property with a value of £29M at 31...

Re: Where are they now?

A few FA Cup appearances for ex-players over the weekend :- Asa Hall scored for Torquay vs Derby [final score 2:2] Anthony Forde played for Wrexham vs Oldham [final score 3:0] Sam Deering got an assist for Farnborough away at Sutton United [final score 0:2] Probably quite a few more, but those are t...

Re: What happens now?!?

Due to train strikes, rearrangements, other plans and midweek games I've only seen three games this season. One thing we've repeatedly been told is that the "new" owners have been part of the ownership structure for around 18 months, and so it would seem strange if they haven't been involv...

Re: Tumbleweed

There are lots of things going on in the background to talk about. The ownership structure Is partly on the OWS https://www.oufc.co.uk/club/information/ A bit of digging (and a few pounds to download) on Singapore Company registry shows that Tiger has long since ceased to be a majority shareholder o...
