The first thing we need to do is make a long term commitment to a manager and that needs to be Darren Patterson. He may not turn out to be the best manager we've ever had but he's already shown that he certainly won't be the worst(D. Kemp one pace forward). There's already internet chatter about sac...

Re:

Forgive me if I am a little bemused - Why is it that this game is the one which has triggered such despair, given that of all the ones we are to play this season, it is the one in which we would be most expected to lose? Agreed. It was the Northwich result which convinced me we're not going to get ...

Reflections on last night.

1. We were well beaten.
2. Turley was outstanding and saved us from embarrassment.
3. We looked better up front once Duffy came on.
4. Yemi looked better on the wing.
5. The Oxford fans were magnificent.
6. Listening to BBC Essex made me appreciate Jerome and co.

The Northwich result shattered my already fragile confidence. I'm hoping it can be put down to 'FA Cup Syndrome', with the replay only a couple of days away.

Despite the transfer window and Patto's best efforts, I can't see us finishing higher than 7th.

Although Duffy can be frustrating at times I would persevere with him a little longer for two reasons: 1. He scored over 20 goals last season. (He took penalties because he is the best player we have at taking penalties.) 2. Let's see what he's like once Darren Patterson has had a chance to manage h...

I've voted No for the same reason as many others: I'd like to say yes because - Good start for Patto. - Youth players given their chance. - More attacking approach. - Better formation. BUT - The playoffs are a lottery. - There are a number of teams above us who could also improve in the second half ...
