Re: Chairman's Programme Notes v Scunthorpe

POST 2: [From Charlie Methven] That is a quite ludicrous thing to say, Terry. Some HoT would take a decade or so to get to (Irish Peace process!) and others could be done over a lunch!!! Given who the parties involved here are EXTRA OxVox, we simply cannot know how long it 'should' take. But let us...

Re: Chairman's Programme Notes v Scunthorpe

POST 1: There should be no reason why a Heads of Terms cannot be agreed within a couple of weeks, so this should have been completed months ago. The Heads is only an outline agreement and statement of intent, so does not require much in the way of detail. What is being sold, sale price, parties to ...

In what way does this make the game eminently winnable?!
Lost 2-1 to a team that was comprehensively beaten by Sutton United just a few days later...

Don't take this as me being rude Tom, but I don't think you know what anyone else knows. You only know what they are prepared to tell you, whether that be OxVox, or DE, or individuals.

Re: Ball #32

Decent FA Cup draw and decent EFL Trophy win.

Another good day in the lives of OUFC fans.

Re: Flags

Anyway, about these flags... I've no idea what's gone on. But I will say that the efforts of the 'Ultras' group, who prepare the banners in the ground for hours before every match, fund raising and lugging their kit around the country and trying to get some atmosphere going at every game, has great...

Has he though? Rumours on the Other Place that he's still training with Us, and I've not seen anything confirmed by either club. Maybe Arsenal told us we'd have to pay for the whole season regardless!
His Wiki page seems to suggest he's been sent packing.

Re: Return of the Macc

Who did Slumdon get in the next round...? ;) Weekend off (a) Which is all we deserve after that shocking showing at Moss Rose last night. When Chris Maguire stepped up to that last-minute free-kick I thought what a travesty it would be if it went in! That first half was a real low in terms of OUFC ...

Re: Marvin, the Gills & 1976

We got less than we deserved against Gillingham, although they applied a bit of pressure towards the end as you might expect. Rob Hall was a great signing, and if we can keep him (get him) fully fit, he is just as good as Kemar Roofe. Our first XI is starting to look balanced and more settled, altho...

Re: NEW SIGNINGS

The committee got this one wrong by a factor of between 5 and 10. IMHO they got it pretty much right. Not sure why you think a 23yo with nearly 250 first team appearances would only be worth £20-50K? The are many League 2 players with significant experience. That doesn't make them worth £200k. The ...

Re: NEW SIGNINGS

United capture former Plymouth Argyle captain Curtis Nelson who has played 246 games for the Greens and is still only 23. Which means we could be saddled with a pretty heavy compensation bill if it goes to tribunal - apparently we haven't managed to agree a sum with Argyle yet. Quite a coup to get ...
