Really? There's a fair bit of competition for that honour.

Re: Sky BET League One 2017-2018

For me, new grounds will be Blackburn, Blackpool, Doncaster and Wigan.

With a little luck I should have at least 70 of the 92 completed by the end of next season.

Re: (Comings and) goings

I feel that this is the wrong time for a takeover. The club is still moving in an upwards direction. Even if the rumoured tightening of the purse strings results in a playing budget that is lower for 17/18 than 16/17, this does not prevent the squad being strengthened and league and cup performance...

Re: (Comings and) goings

I think at this level a regular reserve team is needed.

Re: (Comings and) goings

Buchel has finally been released. No surprises there. Four young guns have gone too - Robbie Cundy, Jordan Graham, Jonny Giles and perhaps more surprisingly Miles Welch-Hayes, who has made a couple of appearances for the 1st team and has looked pretty good in some of the Dev squad games. Josh Ashby ...

Re: Football League Trophy

I wonder if clubs can opt out?

If we are not required to take part, I think OUFC should not enter..

Re: End of season review

I don't have any regrets this season. At the start I said I would be happy provided we avoided a relegation battle. We did that easily and far exceeded my expectations and even most of my hopes. Of course it would have been nice to have made the play offs, but it wasn't in my list of expectations, s...

Re: Season ticket prices

I also disagree with KY point about rewarding loyalty as this would be at the expense of attracting new fans. Well I disagree with that (and don't get your point)! Do you think new fans are less likely to buy a competitively-priced ST if they think longer-standing fans are getting an even better de...

Re: Season ticket prices

I'm not talking about prices from £20. £20 should be the premium advance purchase single match price at this level, with perhaps £25 on the day for premium seating. More tickets available for sale does not equal more tickets sold. Nor does it equal more revenue. I fully accept the point that the cen...

Re: Season ticket prices

£475 is more than £20 a match. That's too high for a season ticket with no added benefits and the increase is unacceptable.

£20 should be the limit for a matchday ticket at this level, and ergo a season ticket should be materially less than that.

Re: Season ticket prices

I'm not making any claim to being the biggest victim, and my post was intended as hypothesis. Luckily for me, if I choose to do so, I could afford the season ticket price hike, but I seriously question whether there is value in OUFC ticket prices, and I think the club are taking advantage of the bui...

Re: Season ticket prices

That problem filters all the way up the chain KE. If I can't afford my season ticket in its excellent location because of fleecing price hikes, I have to downgrade. But downgrading means accepting not just lower standard seats, but also the worst seats in those downgraded sections, because de facto,...

Re: Season ticket prices

I don't think you can dismiss price comparisons dependant on whether a 99p plastic seat is in situ or not, especially for behind goal areas where there are large numbers of people standing whether there is a seat or not. The installation of a cheap plastic seat does not justify significant price hik...
