Smith does seem to spend the aftermath of virtually every match we don't win criticising various players (by name). It seems to change with each match, so he must have slagged off about 50% of them by now. Perhaps he should look to himself? Either it's the formation/tactics which is/are not best con...

What did Jim say about Danny Rose then?

I just want us to pick more attackers than defenders. I tend to think we play with two many of each of those, to the detriment of our midfield. Jim plays five defenders (no, I don't count the wing-backs as anything else) and then quite often with three strikers too. Three strikers is not an &qu...

PS - Please can we play like Exeter do?
I bet if Exeter's manager came to manage Oxford, he'd suddenly discover his need to experiment with three hoofing central defenders, and no width. Well that's how it seems - bloody Oxford managers...

But I agree, Exeter played the way I like a team to play.

Bizarre final substitution from Jim... we are getting completely over-run in midfield and have three strikers on the pitch. Pettefer might well have brought some much-needed stability and ball-winning, but who does Jim bring on instead? The worst striker in the world, that's who. But I also think Ex...

Why is it every manager we get seems to want to play wing-backs? 4-4-2 is what most clubs play, isn't it, yet as soon as a manager gets the Oxford job he starts thinking, &quotah yes, 5 at the back, let's try that...&quot

Yemi didn't look match-fit, but surely he had more than just the blazed-over chance? He had a decent shot saved by their keeper too, didn't he? Or am I mis-remembering (quite possible)? My man of the match would have been Trainer. Very impressed by him - excellent in the air, where he won headers an...

Thought Fisher did look quite useful when he came on (if he's who I think he was - I didn't recognise half the players.) The right back looked good too - Clarke? And some really small guy who came on near the end (and wore number 14) did a couple of nice things in the few minutes he was on.

It's an awful idea. If it were the club I supported, I'd feel the same way as I would if the club were taken over by any owner who saw the club as his/her plaything.

Interestingly (for me, anyway) the three youngsters I thought had the most chance of staying on with us, Gareth Tucker, Tommy Franklin &amp Jerome Anderson have not yet surfaced anywhere (to my knowledge).
Jerome Anderson has apparently just signed for Stevenage.

Yep, I was gonna go to Burton, but can't any more with the fixture change. If it's gonna be like this next season again, I doubt I'll bother with a season ticket. If it becomes impossible to plan when to go to games (well in advance), then I'm gonna end up missing more than makes a ST worthwhile.

Hopefully the TV viewing figures for these games will be negligible and Setanta will give it up. Thursday is a crazy day to switch matches to if there's another match scheduled for the Saturday - did they think this through?

Yeah, this is a major pain. I'm boycotting Setanta. (Not that I've had anything to do with them anyway...)
