Far too much fate being tempted here.

But just to throw another name into the ring: St Mary's, Southampton. Or Pride Park, so I can go back to my favourite pre-football pub

Re:

Quite right GY - several of us (who are attending said wedding) made that point upon hearing it was 31st March. In the football season just isn't right for a wedding...... I moved mine when it clashed with the FA cup final in 1999 - thank goodness the rearranged date was a sunny day. Sacre bleu! Gu...

All this bad French reminds me that I'll be in gay Pariee for the second leg of the play-off semi. It's the first day of my honeymoon, so not something I can wangle out of. Not that I'd want to, of course. A bit annoying though after I'd carefully planned it NOT to clash with the play-offs. I'll be ...

Re:

Duffy went off with a strop on and Hargreaves came on into midfield. Actually felt sorry for Marv because he was so isolated for the last 15 minutes. It might have felt like 15 minutes, but as Isaac points out it was actually 3 (plus stoppage time). Surely the earlier change (dropping Yemi back int...

Blimey. I'd forgotten quite how badly they fell apart.

I don't think Dagenham will be that bad, but if we stay unbeaten and only draw a couple I fancy our chances.

Re:

one word: BLACKPOOL. Does anyone know how many points behind Blackpool we were with 11 games to go? I was hoping to find this info in the RO databank, but no joy. I know we were 8 points clear of Lincoln with 11 games to go in March 2004, and they ended up beating us to the final play-off spot by 3...

What do you mean 'falls over'? does this include being tackled? fouled? slipping while shooting? Anyway, 1.

Re: Stevenage Preview

There's a Stevenage preview on the official site suggesting that burgess will come in for the suspended Hargreaves and Day for the injured Quinn at full back. Jim Smith commenting on the game says &quotThey have to win, and we have to not lose, and I think it will be a super game&quot. Am I...

No. Though I think I get the general gist of bits of it - maybe the GCSE Latin from 18 years ago is still lurking in my subconscious.

It seems to be more of a summary than a review, unless I understand even less than I think I do. Must say I'm slightly surprised it's been translated into Italian.

What was the last testimonial match our club organised then? The last one I can remember was for Ken Fish (against Aston Villa?). And the only other two I can recall were for Billy Hamilton (against a Northern Irish XI) and Gary Briggs (against Slumdon), but they were both in the mid-80's, shortly a...

I think their supporters trust should be asking if the board went through a proper recruitment process to ensure they appointed the best candidate. Oh hang on.......the board are the supporters trust. I should think that anyone who appoints Garry Hill as manager of a Conference Club can be pretty s...

Re:

This season we are getting what we have earnt on the pitch. The playing surface was certainly superior to any Layer Road surface I saw. And the view was better than that from the away end at Layer Road too. Mind you, Layer Road is a shocking ground. I'm certainly not moaning about The Lamb - I love...
