But the chances don't always come again - if Clough turns the job down Derby find the new Fergie instead, Burton manage to blow promotion, and the best he ever gets is Notts County. Possibly.

He'd be lucky to get the chance, he's hardly done much at Burton until this season

NOT Nigel Clough, he's been at Burton for ages and they're still non-league wusses. Not that he'd leave his comfort zone for us anyway.

Haldane is a luxury because he hardly ever does anything. If he was bombing down the wing and delivering good crosses the whole time no one would care that he didn't get 'stuck in'. When we played Histon last season i thought they were a good and pretty entertaining team, though they got the ball fo...

A lot of our fans seem not only particularly thick, but particularly angry, which I don't remember being the case at the Manor. I don't think it's just the club's decline, we just attract a more angry demographic now. They wouldn't come to the Manor because you couldn't park.

If I could log on I would say that the best present for cats is a catnip mouse from Culpepper's - they do them in Burberry and other cute colours, though they quickly get chewed and faded.

It's striking to me how few people want to discuss the football. I've not been to all the games but it seems worth saying that it's been pretty good on the whole - we've got wingers, a good supply of enterprising attackers, a couple of genuinely good players in Foster and Murray - we're not far off ...

Good book on this topic is Left Foot in the Grave by Garry Nelson - he managed Torquay when they were bottom of Div 4. Most of the players seemed desperate to prolong their careers by any means, and not just for financial reasons, but at one point the centre forward comes in and *resigns* because he...

Did Challinor maybe play for Stockport too? And Bury?

Delap's throws against Arsenal were hilarious though I don't like Stoke much, a rough bunch.

Agree about how unpleasing it was to see Kemp's mug face on MOTD. Still, they'll finish bottom when Delap gets tennis elbow.

&gt&gtI find them often shallow and more interested in flouting their differences and trying to force reactions I think you're confusing gay people with a particular kind of annoying camp gay man. I'm sure plenty of gay people are stolid football fans, death metal lovers, computer game fans,...
