This all seems a little worrying to me. FK said at the last forum that he didn't want to sell the club without the ground as he thought it was important they were kept together and if it took a little while for funding to be found then so be it. He is also now saying that a price had been agreed and...

Having missed this game (we were always going to win because of this) I can only go on the reports - Duffy scored one, got a player sent off and set Yemi up for a very good chance whilst not being at 100%. I don't really care what else he did in the game this is a far bigger contribution and more si...

Re: Stats

assuming we make the play-off Final (which could be against Aldershot) Probably better all round if we don't play them again for a long time. Why not, we've taken 4 points off them this season and therefore must surely fancy our chances against them in the play offs as oppossed to someone like Grav...

Ok fine I missed a goal that Robinson scored in a meaningless FA Trophy game - still can't see him scoring more then 10 in a season even if he played every match. I think it's too early to judge Grebis, all players need games to settle in especially when he hadn't played for a while. However, I've s...

So we dominated but didn't score and you think we didn't miss him!! I would suggest this demonstrates that we did miss Duffy, not that we didn't miss him given our two strikers on Sat haven't yet scored a goal between them for either the first team or the reserves. Res Ox - do you think that Robinso...

GY, it always amuses me when you accuse of someone taking things too seriously and then post a lengthly reply on the subject stating nonsense like I think Duffy is a god to suit your argument. I think with Duffy on the pitch instead of either Grebis or Marv we'd have scored a second and hence won th...

Re:

Couple of things: Duffy - I can not understand the criticism of him. He got trod on (deliberately in my opinion) and as a result was limping for some time prior to being subbed. He has scored 19 goals (yes 19!) this season and that includes a month off where he was injured. I admit he can look a bi...

Re: Army Boots

I'm always happy to be wrong in the Boot and Hat ... being right(ish) is a minor compensation ... Back to a strict cascade and a simpler world ... (1) Result (win/draw/lose)? (2) Will Duffy score (for Oxford)? (3) Will there be a penalty? (4) Time of first goal (either side)? Plus or minus 5 minute...

GY we seem to finish and then you say something which clearly needs to be challenged. Most good strikers have a touch of arrogance about them - however, I don't see that Duffy has anything more than your average forward players with regards to that. I do not agree that he is lazy, he's the one playe...

Re:

As for the booing argument, I'm not sure why you are choosing to repeat the point in response to me. I agree with you completely on that. Sorry - I misread something you said earlier. No probs. Moody was another who was an excellent penalty taker, real net bursters. We had someone who missed quite ...

Re:

Duffy has got 18 goals with a good chunk of the season to go - this is my argument for why he is good enough to play in our team. In all likelihood he's goign to get the most goals that anyone has scored for us in ages. I don't care how many have come from penalties, he hasn't missed any - thats the...

What target men are mobile, especially at our level? I would argue he's far more mobile then most and especially more so then Marv our only other option to play up there. He does make runs, he's the one the ball is aimed at 90% of the time and I reckon 60% of the time he gets there and wins the ball...

Whilst I agree with many of these comments and I find it hard to get too excited about a draw at home to a team down to 10 men who we beat 3-0 earlier in the season there were signs of improvement. However, I don't understand all the complaints Duffy gets both during the game and on here afterwards....
