Re: Wilder Out?

At this point in 05/06, we were only 4 points worse off than we are now. *alarm bells* Nah! Famous last words I know, but... ...SURELY there are two worse teams than we, and others who are equally out of form and spiralling..? By contrast I am aware of upwardly mobile teams below us, but I cannot b...

Re: League 1 Poll

Am I the only person who is not keen on getting promoted this season? Don't get me wrong if we get to Wembley I'll be shouting myself hoarse with the best of them! But I have a niggling worry that promotion this season might do more harm than good. We don't have the nucleus of a potential League 1 ...

Re: Movers and shakers tonight?

Personally I don't think it's up to the club or the fans to make judgements on whether someone should be allowed to play football for a living. The law and the FA have not banned him for life from being employed in his profession for making a stupid mistake so why should we have the power to do tha...

Re: Time, gentleman, please

Whilst I may not disagree with any of you (and I don't) I still feel it's vital that we append our pleas for a timely end with a plan for how to go forward from here. i.e. we MUST have something better in place. And I'm really not sure I want another Graham Rix, nor another Darren Patterson. Surely...

Doner and chips 1-1 Strawberries and cream

Constable. Balkestein.

5200. 4700 unhappy. 500 pissed off.

UE Oxford win and suddenly everything is rosy again. Meanwhile, true to their aim of collecting and recycling rubbish, the Wombles score a last minute winner through Jack Midson.

Re: Cymry Llundain

I wonder how much money you cost the club in lost gate receipts from people who don't want to be regaled with &quotLino, lino you're a C-bomb!&quot? Probably equally as much money as has been lost through the loss of good honest working class men and women who no longer attend football beca...

Re: Possible new signing

Well without knowing his circumstances - SURELY we're the better bet, geographically if nothing else? Not that the proximity was sufficient for dear old Budgie Byrne, but still it's got to be two hours closer to his home. No mention of his position though, and where he'd fit in our set-up. Fingers c...

Re: Is it true...

We've had games on consecutive days as recently as 1993 when we had Palace at home on 27th December and away at Wolves the next day. But Palace and Wolves are different teams, aren't they? The original point was that we played Corby on consecutive days. Not happened in a long time, more's the pity!...
