"Did you enjoy yourself?" she asked. "I never enjoy myself playing chess", I replied. "Well why do you do it then?" she countered. I didn't know the answer then and I'm far from sure I know the answer now. I'm depressed now. No, I'm even more depresse...

Re:
4. As per my earlier post, if you can't hit the target from the penalty spot what are you doing on the pitch anyway. It's all very well being 'inches away' from the post but if you don't hit the target you can't win a prize. If both Zebroski and Turley had concentrated on hitting the target there's...

I find it difficult to be as philosophical as some of you about penalty taking. A few points. 1. How do you justify having two 'strikers' sitting in the centre circle while a goalkeeper is taking a penalty? 2. If a 'striker' doesn't step forward to take penalties he's hardly likely to score 20 a sea...

Re:
[quote="SmileyMan"] Zebra was immense, though. I hope we can hang onto him. Sorry SmileyMan I have to disagree with you on this one. A player who can't hit the target from the penalty spot doesn't qualify as a professional footballer, never mind a striker! I hope he left the club tod...

I know Jim will go with 3-5-2 but 4-4-2 is better. After all, we didn't begin our recovery until we changed to 4-4-2. Turley Anaclet Quinn Gilchrist Johnson Pettefer Hargreaves FosterM Burgess Odubade Zebroski If it gets to panic stations then change to 3-4-3 by taking off Gilly and bringing on Duff...

I voted yes, more for the feeling that the club as a whole is moving forward than the results on the field. Although Firoz rescued us from oblivion, there was never a feeling of long term planning on the footballing side. It hasn't been perfect this season by any means but factors such as training g...

Oxford 3 (Zebrowski, Duffy, Hargreaves) Stafford Rangers 0. Attendance 7,600. Away crowd 195. Unexpected event: I pick as many winners as last year (3 winners and 1 place) on my annual trip to Newbury races. Dagenham ring up to offer us their league position as they were so annoyed that more support...

Poll
I voted for Slumdon to be promoted.
Still living in hope that Wimbledon AFC will overtake MK Dons one day. They're in a play-off position at the moment I think?
